Functional Fitness for 55+

This small group training offers an individualized approach recognizing that everyone has different anatomy, abilities, and starting points. The program will focus on making daily tasks and aging more feasible and enjoyable as well as increase bone density, increase longevity, and improve  balance.

This offering begins on May 16th or May 20th and benefits an aging population of 55+ with one 45-minute session per week for three months focusing on functional fitness through strength training. There will also be at least one special workshop as well and you will receive a 12-class pack to use for any other studio classes during this time.

*Membership in this program will auto-renew after the 3-month commitment though members can opt out prior to renewal.

FAQs

  • Do I have to commit to the full 3 months? Yes, this time frame allows your body to acclimate to the exercises, helps create a habit, and gives space to build community.

  • Is there a free trial class I can take? No, however you will receive a free 5-minute video offering functional movements as a preview and there will be an information session for all participants held virtually on May 9th. Feel free to schedule a call by emailing support@constellationfit.com with any additional questions!

  • What does the $25 fee cover? The fee covers credit card fees incurred by the studio as well as acting as a deposit for the program to hold your space.

  • Is there anything else included in this membership? Yes! You will be given a 12-class pass to use for any studio classes that interest you within the three month period. This is roughly one additional class per week and a great opportunity to check out yoga or get in additional strength training!

  • How large will the classes be? We keep our class sizes small so that we can give each person individualized attention and instruction as needed. For this special offering, our class sizes will only contain 5 participants total.

  • What is the class format? The classes will be focused on functional fitness through strength training. Sections of slow, repetitive movements with light or no resistance will be alternated with frequent rest. Classes will last 45 minutes and include a warm-up as well as cool-down/stretching.

  • What do I need to bring with me? We suggest wearing breathable workout clothes, sneakers, and bringing a water bottle. We have everything else you need at the studio!

  • What if I can’t make it to a class? There will be two make-up classes offered to all in the program held on August 22nd at 9AM and 5:30PM.
